Project Title: Deep Learning Chatbot for Customer Service Student: Mengying LIU Course: BSc in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence with Year in Industry Abstract: Customer satisfaction with a company's services is often seen as the key to success and longterm competitiveness for a company. The traditional way for a customer to get help quickly was to pick up the phone and talk to customer support. This way, overloaded the call centres, resulting in long wait times as it takes a long time to process a single request. Chatbots can replace some of the jobs that are traditionally performed by human workers. From the initial stage of rule-based chatbots to the era of rapid development in deep learning-based Natural Language Processing (NLP), the performance of chatbots keeps improving. Chatbots can respond nowadays to a customer like a human being, and they can learn from experience. The aim of this project is to build a conversational bot for customer service-leveraging advancements in the domains of both deep learning and data processing.
