Morgan Harvey

Morgan Harey Morgan is a post-doctoral researcher at the Faculty of Informatics of the University of Lugano, Switzerland and previously worked at the Artificial Intelligence Research Group at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg in Germany. His main body of research focuses on understanding the needs and behaviour of users in various search and information seeking situations, particularly in the growing field of social media. He has a strong background in working with statistical models to better understand observed user behaviour and how these models can be exploited to improve search systems via personalisation and recommendation.

Max L. Wilson

Max Wilson Max L. Wilson is an assistant professor in Human-Computer Interaction and Information Seeking at the University of Nottingham. Max publishes widely in the space between HCI, Information Retrieval, and Information Science, at venues from ACM SIGCHI to JASIST, including a book on Search User Interface Design with Morgan Claypool, and an award winning book chapter on Understanding Casual-Leisure Information Behaviour. As well as serving on the IP&M Editorial Board, and on several conference committees (e.g. CHI 2010-2014, IIiX2010-14), Max has organised several workshops, including the EuroHCIR series, and the Searching4Fun workshop at ECIR2012.

Karen Church

Karen Church Karen Church is a Research Scientist at Yahoo Labs in Sunnyvale, CA, since July 2013. Prior to Yahoo!, Karen worked at Telefonica Resarch in Barcelona. In 2010, Karen was awarded a Marie Curie Fellowship to explore future mobule informaion access behaviours and trends, and has since been focused on mobile information behaviour in everyday life. To support this work, Karen publishes in the IR, RecSys and Mobile HCI areas.
